Smart Health

What is “Smart Health”?

“Smart health” involves deploying computing, information, and networking technologies to aid in preventing disease, improving the quality of care and lowering overall cost. Smart health or Telehealth is the use of secure information & communications technologies such as video conferencing and web portals to deliver health services. It puts patients and health professionals in touch, allowing live consultations, diagnosis and support without the need to travel.

A number of vital signs, traditionally measured during a face to face consultation can be measured remotely. Examples include blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, temperature and weight.
